Pangani

Pangani sits in that middle zone — not quite the chaos of Eastleigh next door, not quite the polish of Parklands down the road. It's a mostly residential area that a lot of people pass through without really stopping. Tuesday evening is pretty calm. You'll hear kids playing, matatus grinding up Thika Road, maybe a mama mboga packing up her cart. Saturday morning has a bit more life — people washing cars, a few kiosks doing good business, the occasional sound system from somewhere nearby. The housing stock is a mix of older walk-ups and newer blocks going up fast. You're maybe 15–20 minutes from CBD when traffic cooperates, which it often doesn't on Thika Road. It's not a nightlife spot at all. If you want quiet evenings, proximity to town, and don't need a trendy scene outside your door, you'd be fine here. If you need walkable restaurants and weekend energy, you'll get bored.
