South C is one of those estates that doesn't shout for attention but quietly gets the job done. It's residential in the truest sense — rows of maisonettes, bungalows, and flats, lots of mature trees, kids playing in compounds on Saturday mornings. Tuesday evening feels calm, almost sleepy. You hear dogs, not clubs. The market on Mombasa Road side gets lively on weekends but it's not overwhelming. The big frustration is traffic — Mombasa Road is right there, and that sounds convenient until you're sitting in it for 45 minutes trying to get to town at 5pm. Airport proximity is a genuine plus if you travel for work. Groceries, hardware, salons, local eateries — all within walking distance of most parts of the estate. It's not trendy, it won't make your Instagram look exciting, but for someone who wants a functional, relatively peaceful place to come home to, South C delivers consistently.

Low-key and residential. The kind of estate where people know their neighbors and matatus know the route by heart. Not much after-dark energy — most action is daytime. Crowd skews families, long-term renters, and a few homeowners who've been here since the 80s. Calm without being boring.
