Thindigua

Thindigua sits just off Kiambu Road, straddling the Nairobi-Kiambu county boundary in a way that makes it feel like it belongs to neither fully. That's not a bad thing. Tuesday evenings are genuinely calm — you hear kids playing, maybe a generator kicking on somewhere, matatus rolling past but not overwhelming the street. Saturday mornings have a neighbourhood feel: people washing cars, small kiosks doing brisk business, the kind of place where the mama mboga knows your order. The frustrations are real though. Kiambu Road traffic during rush hour is punishing, especially if you're heading into town. Infrastructure is patchy — some streets are fine, others flood when it rains hard. Most apartments have CCTV and backup generators, which tells you something about how residents have learned to plan. It's not glamorous, but it's honest value for the space you get. Families and young couples who don't need to be in the CBD daily tend to settle in well here.
